Peter Alcorn (trombone)
Peter is the youngest member of Downshire Brass and he made his contesting debut at the NIBA in 2012 at the age of ten. Initially a tenor horn player, he achieved his grade 6 in 2015 and promptly switched to the trombone; he’s now a ‘bone’ fide member of the 'dark side' of the band! Trombone playing is in addition to piano studies and the odd bit of ukulele playing - some of it very odd!
With a lifetime’s experience of being roped into band administration (largely thanks to his Dad), Peter has taken on the important role of being Assistant Librarian.
Away from banding, he spends way too much time on his iPad. He is also a Rubik's cube fanatic, and has a collection of cubes that is growing faster than he is.
