Christmas with Downshire Brass - in Coleraine

After a number of hugely popular carol services at Killowen Parish Church in Coleraine in recent years, we are bringing the whole brass band to the town to kick-off the festive season.  

Nothing says Christmas more than the sound of a brass band with an upbeat and crowd-pleasing programme.  We are also delighted to be teaming-up with local choir, "Coastal Vocals" to bring you some additional cheer.

Christmas with Downshire Brass at Down Cathedral

We are excited to bring our wonderful Christmas programme to Down Cathedral on 14 December for a joint programme alongside Down Community Youth Choir & Ballyblack and Quoile Area Women’s Institute Choir.

There’s no better way to ease yourself into Christmas than the sound of brass bands and Choirs. The programme features all your Christmas favourites and an opportunity to join the bands and choir in a singalong!

Following last year's sell-out performances of 'The Snowman', we are delighted to announce two performances of this ever-popular show on 21 December 2024 in Malone Presbyterian Church Halls, Belfast.  

Downshire Brass are teaming up again with pianist Sam Moreland for screenings of the animated film with soundtrack provided by live brass band.

Come and join in the fun - there will be Christmas favourites for the young and young at heart to sing along to as well! Performances are at 2pm and 4pm. Tickets are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Downshire Brass Table Quiz

Join us for a brilliant night where you can test you knowledge on a range of topics from sport and general knowledge to history and geography. Tickets just £5 per head. Pay at the door. Individuals, duos, trios and groups of up to eight per table are welcome to take part. The quiz features rounds for the young and young at heart, so please come and bring the whole family!

All proceeds for the evening will go directly to support the band’s fundraising for the European Brass Band Championships in Stavanger in May 2025.

We are delighted to be taking part in this The Ulster Orchestra, Zeppo Arts and Townsend Street Enterprise Park community street party set to take place on Townsend Street on Saturday 21 September 2024 from 2pm - admission is free and everyone is welcome! Downshire Brass will be performing at 3pm!

Sound Links celebrates the heritage of the area and is part of the Belfast 2024 programme, celebrating creativity and culture, funded by Belfast City Council and taking place on International Peace Day.

A small ensemble from the band is delighted to support the very popular Royal Hillsborough Farmers Market. Set against the tree-lined "The Dark Walk" and Hillsborough Fort, it makes a lovely day out, especially when combined with a browse of the eclectic mix of independent shops and eateries in the village.
Drop by and have a listen and enjoy what’s on offer at over 50 stalls of the finest local and seasonal farm-to-market produce and artisan food.

Downpatrick Flood Relief Concert

We are delighted to support this fundraising event in support of the Downpatrick and County Down Railway, Ireland's only full-size heritage railway. DCDR was severely impacted by the floods in Downpatrick in November 2023.

We will be joined by Several local music groups St Patrick's Choral Society, Down Community Youth Choir, Ballygowan Concert Flute Band, and the Quoile Area WI Choir.
